Three Sarees to Set Aside Before Navratri
Navratri 2026 begins on 11 October. You do not need nine new sarees. Set aside a gold, a rani, and a green now, and the nine nights will already have a plan.

Sharad Navratri 2026 starts on 11 October and runs nine nights to 19 October, with Dussehra on 20 October. The mistake is buying nine sarees in the last week. The calmer plan is three, chosen now, that can rotate.
Gold, rani, green
A champagne or mustard gold does the lamp-lit nights. Rani pink is the colour people look for in a garba circle. A bottle green or emerald holds the evenings that should feel quieter, including the first night at home. Each one needs a real zari border, narrow enough that it does not fight the print of a second saree if you layer a jacket against the night air.
Colour lists differ by city and by family. Do not throw out a saree you love because a chart on the internet named another shade. Wear what your circle keeps, in cloth that can move.
Fold them where you can see them
Put the three on a shelf this week. Check the fall, the reverse, and whether a loose thread will catch a dandiya stick. Steam the pleats once. The garba guide covers the drape. This note is only the edit: three sarees, chosen before the rush.
