Measure the right points.

A tailor’s tape, not a metal one. Metal bends the number.

Wear the bra you will wear with the blouse. Cups change the bust.

Feet together, arms down, breathe out. Do not suck in.

One decimal
Write 34.5, not 35. The atelier reads inches.

The size name is the blouse or garment size. Bust, waist, and hip are body measurements. Across shoulder is tip to tip on the back, not around the body.

Sizes 3XL to 7XL follow the same grade as XS to XXL. For a couture fit, send the exact points instead of a size.
Measurement FAQ
How do I measure for a saree blouse at home?
Use a soft tape over the bra you will wear. Take eight points: across shoulder (tip to tip on the back), bust, under bust, front neck depth, back neck depth, blouse length, sleeve length, and upper arm. Then take waist and hip for the size chart. Keep around-the-body tapes level and snug.
What is across shoulder?
It is a straight line from one shoulder tip to the other, across the back. It is not the measurement around your shoulders. A helper should take it — measuring yourself in a mirror usually runs short. On our chart it is about 13 to 18.5 inches from XS to 7XL.
Should I use inches or centimetres?
The Surat atelier reads inches. You can switch this page to centimetres and we convert when you save. Write one decimal either way (34.5 in or 87.6 cm).
What if I am between two sizes?
Choose the larger size, especially for a wedding or a full day of wear. If you want the blouse cut to your body, save the exact numbers and add stitch-to-measure.
Do petticoat and lehenga use the same numbers?
No. A petticoat needs the drawstring waist, hip, and length to the hem you want, measured with the heels you will wear. A lehenga needs bust, waist, hip, choli length, and skirt length.
Can the tailor stitch from these numbers?
Yes. Save them to your account, then add “Stitch my blouse” on the saree. You can also WhatsApp the list. Under bust and upper arm are included in the message you send.
